Need some card for a craft project or a clasp to fix a necklace or some wire to fix a broken picture frame then visit the Saltash Scrapstore. This is a treasure trove of bits and bobs all neatly organised so you can easily find what you want for a project or a repair. Equally, if you’ve finished a project and have some odds and ends left over then donate them to the Scrapstore rather than putting them in the bin. There are two shops (craft materials on one side of the road, electricals etc on the other) near the upper end of Fore Street (open 10am – 4pm Mon, Tues, Thur, Fri and 10am – 2pm Sat) - they accept more or less anything (electrical goods in working order please).
If you don’t feel up to undertaking your own repair then why not visit the Saltash Repair Café where for a donation, volunteers will try to repair broken electrical, electronic, wood, cloth and metal items. The Café (and yes there are hot drinks and pasties as well) runs on the second Saturday of each month at St Nicholas Church in Saltash (10am – 1pm).
